Easy Homemade Cold Brew Recipe
What You’ll Need
- 1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans (recommend our Colombian Medium Roast)
- 4 cups cold water
- Large mason jar or pitcher
- Fine mesh strainer, cheesecloth, or coffee filter
Instructions
1. Grind Your Coffee
For best results, use a coarse grind. This helps create a smooth, balanced flavour and makes filtering easier afterward.
2. Combine Coffee & Water
Add your ground coffee to a large jar or pitcher and pour the cold water over top. Stir gently to ensure all the coffee grounds are saturated.
3. Let It Steep
Cover and place in the refrigerator for 12 to 18 hours.
The longer it steeps, the stronger and richer the flavour becomes.
4. Strain
Slowly strain the coffee through a fine mesh strainer or coffee filter into a clean container.
5. Serve & Enjoy
Pour over ice and enjoy as-is, or customize it with:
- Milk or cream
- Oat or almond milk
- Vanilla syrup
- Maple syrup
- Sweet cold foam
